Today is 20 09 20009. In case u haven't noticed, today is Hari Raya Aidilfitri. If you still haven't noticed, try checking ur sms inbox, or peak into ur kitchen. Jadi, to follow the trend of Muslim bloggers around the world, nk lar buat post raya.

Ekceli, saje nk kata akoo ni bz at work (huhuhu..jarang dgr ayat ni). Oh, and in case ur writing a book, here's a gud place to get the cool 'for dummies' cover page. The website onli generates (x bole save), so U might nid a screen capture software to capture the generated cover. I use MWSnap from Mirek. No frills screen capture.

Oklah, let's get back to the point of the post.

Selamat Hari Raya 2 all my Muslim frends. Kalu free2 n nk mkn free, dtglah ke rumah kami kt area Equine Park. Pintu rumah kami terbuka luas bulan Syawal ni. Mayb nk buat makan2 sket 2nd/3rd week raya ke..so stay tuned (when I say stay tuned, check out my wife's blog or fesbuk ok. Never ever check here).

Halo smua,

Selamat dtg ke satu lg edisi mempromosi animoto.
For dis outing, I onli brought my 50mm "hantaran kahwin" lens. So xde gmbr2 sweeping panoramas, just good old candid n group photos.

Juga nk mempromosi bag camera sy guna which is my trusty LowePro Off Trail 1 . Although I look really geeky using this bag when strapped on to my "still slim" waist or slung over my shoulder, this bag has proven itself many2 times. Habis basah2 beg camera 2 semasa melakukan aksi2 Bear Grylls tatkala mengharungi sungai menggunakan kasut Teva hantaran (akan dipromosi lain kali plak).

The point here is, my camera was kept dry through out the day and I get to look geeky at the same time! No worries at all. Beg standard yg dtg dgn camera xkn mampu memberi perlindungan secukupnyer. Maka, investlar sedikit dlm beg camera anda kerana camera yg basah itu akan menjadi sia-sia saja.

Nothing extraordinary happened in Sg Chongkak, but it was good fun to spend time with the people u shud care the most. Enjoy the animoto.

Ade total 261 photos taken during our 3d2n Honeymoon in Phuket (we stayed in Patong Beach) (excluding non-shareable photos :P).

Part 1: Tilt-shift Photography

I'd better update before some1 leaves a nasty post about my dusty blog.
Hei, some1 actuali reads my blog. Thanx for the comments. So lemme KISS on this tilt-shift thingy ok.

What camera do i use:
I use the cheapiest DSLR in the market: Nikon D40 wif kit lens. But u can do this on any jpeg photos so pictures from a 'compact' camera olso can.

Types of photos to use this effect on so the effect gives a 'POW' impact :
a. Photos taken from high above looking down OR photos with perspective (has objects in front of photo all the way to the back).
b. Make sure ur photo got good 'depth of field' or in compact camera settings: Pakai landscape mode. Also make sure the object that u want to be the main focus in the tilt-shift photo is sharp!

How do i make the
There r 3 ways to do this:
1. Buy a tilt-shift lens with your DSLR: My daddy's name is not similar to a burger brand so Scrap idea #1.
2. Use Photoshop effects. There's a good tutorial here. The trick is proper usage of gradient + blur lens effect + saturation to trick ur eye to make the photo look miniature: I use this method kalau ade byk masa & olso if i want 2 produce tilt-shift photos TERBAEK!
3. Use this website (olso available on my sidebar): Fastest! Cheapest! Easiest way to convert a decent photo into tiltshift photograph. Menghasilkn gmbr size kecik yg just nice for internet use. No nid 2 register pung.

Lemme give u a step by step ek (kat website 2 ade tips tambahan jugak utk hasilkn tiltshift photo terbaek):
1. Upload ur photo. This is the original photo I uploaded (taken dr atas Bukit Besi overlooking KL):

Biasa to the point of boring jer kan..

2. Pastu 'tubek' page baru.
2.1: Setting bahagian gmbr yg sharp. Gerak arrow up & down and use Focus size utk besarkan jalur pada gmbr yg akan stay sharp.
2.2: Tick enhance colour unless photo that ur uploading have already been saturated using another software.
2.3: Advanced control. This one korang kena godek2 sket lar. My preferred settings are:
Defocus strength: Kalau kebanyakan objek dlm gambr dekat2, I use strong. If not leave it in the middle pun dh ok
Defocus gradient: Slow gradient supaya blur to perlahan2 jd blur. Quick means from sharp tiba2 jd blur. U have to try this urself and c what fits best for ur photo.
Enhance Bokeh: Increase only for night shot photos. Leave it as weak for morning shots.

3. Tekan Preview everytime tukar setting utk tgk gmbr baru. Dh puas hati, tekan Get Full Size and download ur new photo and VIOLA:
